In a joint project with juris GmbH, the Federal Ministry of Justice provides free online access to virtually the entire body of current federal law. At www.gesetze-im-internet.de, federal laws and ordinances can be accessed in the versions currently in force. This information is consolidated on an ongoing basis by the Ministry’s documentation centre.
The Legal Update Service (in german) provides links to all new provisions promulgated in the Federal Law Gazette Part I, for a period of six months after their entry into force. The texts of amending provisions that form the basis for consolidated laws and ordinances can also be accessed here.
